From a young age, I've been fascinated by wild animals. I've always found the ugly or the weird to be incredible, constantly amazed over how remarkable and intricate nature can be. I pursued this interest throughout school, completing two masters degrees in biology and animal behaviour. To this day, I'm still in awe of the majestic and the beautiful in nature, but I find real excitement in the hidden treasures that are more often slimy, scaly, or that just do something down-right cool. Check out some of my blog posts to see what fuels my passion for nature.
After studying wildlife biology and being a lifelong super-fan of Sir David Attenborough's, I wanted to somehow get involved in the wildlife film industry. What other job would allow you to watch nature, travel to amazing places, and see some of nature's greatest spectacles? My chance came a few years ago when I had the opportunity to work on the CBC series Wild Canadian Year. This opened my eyes to the amazing work that goes into making wildlife films, and I continue to research, develop and assist in the production of wildlife films.
